Sweetener Update

An update on one of our ingredients

Clean Nutrition has identified a labelling issue impacting some batches of our products. These products remain safe to consume.

A sweetener supplied to us and certified as thaumatin, a natural sweetener, was instead sucralose. Sucralose is widely used and permitted in New Zealand and Australia, and is used intentionally in many other products in our range.

As a result, labels on the affected products incorrectly identify the sweetener as thaumatin.

We have stopped using this ingredient, are moving the affected products to an alternative sweetener blend, and are working with New Zealand Food Safety (MPI) throughout.

We know our customers trust us to be clear about what goes into our products, and we take that responsibility seriously. We wanted to share this update so you have the correct information.
